What are some good apartment complexes in Philly?

What apartment complexes in Denver should I avoid?

  • Because my husband hasn't lived in Denver for 10 years and we're moving back to raise our baby, we would like to know what apartment complexes to avoid. For example... ______ because of drug problems, or ______ because of crime rate.... We can't get a straight answer from apartmentratings.com because they are all negative, and it's insane. I know there are nice complexes and bad ones everywhere. Even if you don't want to list ones to avoid, then can you mention one that you liked living at? I'm from Jersey and have only visited Denver, I haven't lived there like my hubby has, but it's been so long for him that he doesn't remember what ones are good and bad, plus alot can change in 10 years. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you.

I dont think it has anything to do with the complex itself, it is the areas you talking about, my sister lived in the apartments on south Federal Blvd, not far from Hampton, and she never really had any problems there, she lived in three different ones. the ones near Evens she didnt have any problems but there were a few apartments that got broken into and I was outside and had offers for drugs in the parking lot, sorry I cant remember any of the names. I personally got out of Denver and now live in the Fort Collins area, about an hour north of Denver. I have never had any trouble up here and like the living here. There are other places you can check out also like Longmont, Castle rock, Boulder that aren't as bad as Denver but are still close enough to work there and still have the benefits of the Denver area. I guess if I was in your position I would check out the neighboring cities instead of just Denver. There are crimes everywhere you go but Loveland, Berthoud, are places like that are more of a smaller town feel than the big city. Good luck and welcome to Colorado.

There are many areas in the greater Denver metro that are good to live. It somewhat depends on where your husband works. Denver is big, and you live on one end and he works on the end, the commute can be troublesome, especially when it snows. I lived in south suburbs for many years, particularly in Greenwood Village, Littleton and Highlands Ranch. I loved it. It is a peaceful; people are nice and laid back. There are plenty of good schools to choose from for the children. Plenty of malls and stores for shopping. Drive around south of Orchard Road all the way past C470 into Highlands Ranch, East of Broadway and stop before you get into Aurora (Aurora is not as desirable of a neighborhood).
