Which Japanese university should I go to if my major is Linguistics?

Go to the mountains/what to do in Colorado?

  • 'm going to Colorado for a week, and I have about 3 full free days. I would like to: 01) Go to the mountains. 02) Go to a University Campus that'll have a Linguistics Department (or just a Uni campus). 03) Go to a used book store. 04) Go to a heavy-metal store. 05) Go to a museum (preferably something unique only available in Denver) Any advise on how to achieve that will be much appreciated!!! IMPORTANT NOTE: No car! Only public transport, I guess. Thanks!

  • Answer:

Depends on where you are staying. Boulder, CO has the University of Colorado. Its a pretty cool college town that is easy to walk. There are several mountains nearby and plenty of book stores. It is also really easy to get around the city of Denver with public transportation (the bus system is really good). Colfax or 13th has used book stores as well as independent music stores. The Denver Art Museum is good. However, "First Friday" is better. If you are here on the first Friday of the month, all the art galleries on Santa Fe are open (and free). You can walk the whole thing!

Downtown Denver is a great place for you to go. You can take a bus up to the mountains (the EV takes you to evergreen which is a beautiful mountain town). On the other side of Speer there is the Auraria Campus which has Colorado University of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver and the Community College of Denver on it. There are many used booked stores on Colfax and in the downtown area and I bet there is a heavy-metal store around there too. You can always go to the Colorado Museum of Nature and Science which is located on Colorado Blvd. They have certain exhibits about how Colorado was formed. Everything mentioned here is accessible by public transportation and may I add one more thing to your list that is uniquely Colorado? Casa Bonita! Though their food is horrible the place is something to see (cliff divers, mariachi bands, Black Bart's Cave). I hope you have a great time on your visit!!!

1 - Boulder (least that the closest you can get by bus, technically foothills, but its right there) 2 - Boulder 3 - Boulder 4 - Boulder 5 - Depends on what you're into. Art, history, nature and science, molly brown, firefighters, quilt, railroad, aviation. Google.
