Activities to do in Breckenridge/Keystone CO (second week in march?)?

  • In addition to skiing/snowboarding, what all is there to do in these towns? I will be there for a couple days on vacation in the second week of march (activities will obviously vary depending on the weather!) thanks :)

    There's a lot to do. You can go ice skating, snow shoeing, go cross-country skiing, take a snowcat tour, take a snowmobile tour, go shopping, go sledding, take a dog sled tour, or just kick back on the deck and soak in some springtime sunshine. Frisco is a nice town to visit for the day or evening. It is in between Breckenridge and Keystone. It has a real mountain town feel to it and it isn't as touristy as Breckenridge. There are nice shops and a ton of great restaurants in Frisco. Here is a link to some local info and activities.

Depending on the weather you can go biking or on a hike with beautiful scenery or if it is colder you can go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog-sledding, sleigh rides or go to the Frisco Adventure Park which consists of tubing and cross-country skiing. You can always go shopping, (there is any outlet mall in Silverthorne and downtown in any town nearby.) There is a website for Breckenridge at www.gobreck.com with many additional ideas of what to do especially specific to the dates you are there. Have fun and don't neccessarily plan out every moment. Let the towns tell you what to do once you are there.

You know, if you're only coming for a couple of days, you'll ski. That's about it. There's shopping, drinking, eating, adventure parks (tubing) terrain parks, hiking, snowshoeing, horse-drawn carriage rides, etc., but if you're only here for a couple of days, you wont'want to bother.
