How expensive is Denver University?

Is the University of Denver a good college?

  • I'm already going to Point Park University in Pittsburgh this coming fall for my freshman year to study journalism, but I am looking into transferring after my freshman year to the University of Denver. Is it a good University? If I transfer to Denver I either want to major in journalism or education.

    Other than being so expensive (because it's a private school), it's a great school. I have many friends who go there and they love it!

Like other have said, University of Denver is a private college. It is perhaps the *best* university in the state of Colorado. One of my contacts from Y/A actually goes there (If I remember correctly). Anyways, that university is probably known for the law field. I do know that because one of my parents' neighbors is a well-known attorney in the state of Colorado and he went to University of Denver Law School.. It is much better than University of Colorado (except in medical fields) or Colorado State University.

University of Denver has some excellent departments but for the most part is a rich kid's party school. The best education training in Colorado is at University of Northern Colorado.

Denver is a very good school. It is private you know. Best Journalism schools are Missouri at Columbia and Northwestern at Evanston, Illinois
