Which vail resort is best?

Does anyone have any recommendations of places to stay in the Breckenridge, Vail ski resort area?

  • I am planning a ski trip for 6-8 to Colorado and would love any recommendations anyone has on places to stay...Breckenridge, Vail, Copper, Keystone, etc. Preferably something that is not too pricey. Thanks!

  • Answer:

For Breckenridge, I hear Beaver Run Resort is nice and a great ski-in/ski-out loacation. They have anything from standard hotel rooms to 3-4 bedroom suites that can accomodate 8-10 people. They are also offering some winter special offers, like stay a certain amount of nights get one night free and free lift tickets for one day: http://www.beaverrun.com/resort.php/BEAVER_RUN/CCM_100 You can read reviews here: http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-358067-beaver_run_resort_conference_center-i Vail has tons of great places to stay but will be VERY expensive.

The Little Mountain Inn is very nice and not too pricey and it is in Breckenridge.

Copper will be the cheapest. But that's because there's not much there except the ski village. The other places you list have a lot more to offer by way of restaurants, shops, etc. Breckenridge is a popular compromise between pricey Vail and bland Copper. www.tripadvisor.com will have lodging reviews. There's a wide range of accommodations in Breckenridge.

Everything is pricey during the season, unless your willing to stay in Denver or Grand Junction and drive.
