Where to go camping in Colorado?

What are the best places to go camping in Colorado?

  • At the end of school, my family and friends all go camping somewhere. We usually go to Rifle or Steamboat Springs but they are getting boring, so we want to try something new. It has to have both tent camping and rv spots, in the same area. There has to be a large lake for tubing and skiing. The lake has to be stocked with plenty fish, other than just trout. We don't want anything too prissy, the more primitive, the better. Hookups aren't important, but are preferred. We live about an hour south east of Denver, so nothing that's over 4 hours of a drive. We want it to be hot when we go. Thanks for your help!!!

We went to Turquoise Lake last summer in Leadville, we had a great time. I don't really remember if the lake was big enough for skiing because we went at the end of the summer (late August) and it was too cold to swim.

I've always heard Grand Lake is an amazing place for all those activities.
