Where is the best skiing resort in North Carolina?

Good resort in colorado for skiing?

  • I am looking to take a trip to colorado and would like to go skiing and stay in the mountains with ski areas around I would like the name of a great ski resort to stay at and be able to explore a little bit because I will have no car.Maybe a place with restaurants and shops nearby and a place to get ski equipment and lessons.

Ummm. It's Colorado. Once you get into the mountains, you can barely throw a stone without hitting a ski area. Best bet, come to Summit county. Stay in Frisco...just put "Frisco" into the search engine or address window, and you will get a list of articles, most of which will have links to lodging. There's a free bus service. You can't stay anywhere where you can't easily get to food and the ski areas. You don't WANT a car, because you'd just have to park it anyway! (ski are parking has gotten tight, and you must pay the bus is so much easier!) Four ski areas here, plus, getting to Vail, should you need more, isn't terribly difficult, so, three more in the Vail Valley. Just google Summit County Colorado, Frisco, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, or Arapahoe Basin. You'll love it here.

For less expensive than the big names like Aspen and Vail, try Telluride or Breckenridge.

Okay, so you want a place to ski and stay, and you don't have transportation...the best choice for you is Breckenridge. (Crested Butte's town is too far away from the slopes- though they do have a bus, Keystone is a fun village, but not much to explore around there, Vail's town is overrated, but the mountain is great, and prepare to spend your retirement fund if you want to stay in Aspen or Beaver Creek.)
