First off are you a DJ? If you're not you'll definately need experience. Either go to college to be a radio DJ or buy your own equipment start freelance DJ'ing weddings bar mitzvahs whatever. Either way, having a career goal of being a DJ at a specific MAJOR club when you have no experience is a little overambitious. Start small and see where it goes.

Do you have training in this field? If not, you need to get a degree in broadcast communications. In addition you have to be creative, and be able to ad-lib, you need a good speaking voice, you need to use correct grammar and you must be familiar with the sound equipment. You can get proficient by going to workshops, and offering to perform free at weddings and other special events or even clubs. Most DJ's get their start at college stations or in small towns. Who knows, some day you may be the DJ at Lizard Lounge.
