  • flight attendant, I have a family. I just graduated with a diploma in Travel and Hospitality. I have extensive customer service experience, but really none in the travel industry. Does anyone recommend a good way to get a job at an airline? If anyone works for an airline, could you tell me what the best one to work for is? Or what you do and don't like about your job? Thank you, cb

  • Answer:

Many people start out as a agent for the airline. The titles vary among airports, but are similar. Ramp Agents usually load and unload luggage onto the plane and all other functions to prepare for arrivals and departures. Station agents do the same, but my also do counter work, like the person who checks you in and handles customer complaints. Almost all of the airlines apply for jobs on line. i would go to each airlines website and there you can find a list of their open positions. Never worked for one, but I would suggest American because their main hub is in your city/airport DFW. Good Luck and enjoy the flight benefits.
