Is it very expensive travelling to NY?

Travelling thru OH to NY. Near Medina, OH, is it quicker to take I-271 or continue on I-71N thru Cleveland?

  • Travelling I-71N near Medina, OH, I can either continue on I-71N to I-90 or use I-271E which also runs into I-90. I understand I-271 is a four lane highway, which way is faster? Thanks!

    Take the 271E expressway its faster and will take you away from all the downtown cleveland traffic.

Take the I-271 to I-90. The I-271 goes east of Cleveland and you should be able to avoid the traffic. I-71 takes you west of Cleveland and you will have to drive through Cleveland as you go east.

Take 271 to 90, that is the quickest way (if only Pennsylvania didn't have a speed limit of 55!) Don't worry about running into Cleveland traffic, try to time to your trip, if you run through Cuyahoga County in between 9am and 3pm you'll miss the major traffic on the freeway. Have a safe trip.
