What is it like living in Chicago?

  • I'm interested in attending college in Chicago and want to ask some questions to learn more about Chicago. I live about two hours south of Chicago and have traveled their many times but I want to know what it is actually like to live there. So.... What is it like to live in Chicago? What are the people like? What different types of races are in Chicago? What different style or genres of people are there? Food? Bars and night clubs? Things to do for fun? Dating? Housing? Traffic and transportation? Economy and jobs? Style of homes? Cost? Does Chicago have a good art and music scene if so what types of music or art are popular? Weather? Whats it like raising a family in Chicago? What is it like to be a young adult trying to start a career? Social life or meeting new people? Sport? Anything else I need to know? Thanks a million!

    Chicago is pretty great place to live. They have variety of different restaurants, great culture, nice history , and great place to see. I live in the n. suburbs not to far from the city.

The weather sucks. It just snowed yesterday and it is supposed to be spring. If you don't care about the weather, then Chicago is actually a great place to live.
