How can I get from Chicago O´Hare to Wisconsin Dells?

  • I´ll arrive to the O´Hare airport after 9.pm and the amtrak train and also greyhound bus leaves much more earlier. Is there any other option? Thanks

    I would rent a car at O'hare airport and drive to the Wisconsin Dells. Take I-90 East to I-294 N (exit 1 C), toward Milwaukee/I-90 W/Rockford. Merge onto I-90 West toward Rockford. Stay on I-90 West (about 160 miles). Merge onto US 12 W, exit 92 towards I-90 ALT/Wisconsin Dells. Turn slight right onto US-12/Wisconsin Dells Parkway/WI 23. This will take you into town and to wherever you want to go.

Fly into Madison, WI. 5 airlines service the airport: http://www.msnairport.com/flight/airlines.aspx It's closer to the Dells. Transportation will be easier than from Chgo. Greyhound has 2 routes which leave Madison at 12:01 PM and 7:15 PM: http://www.greyhound.com/home/ticketcenter/en/step1.asp You can travel by AMTRAK but the route is crazy. From Madison you take a bus to Chicago then a train to the Dells. It takes over 7 hours: http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak
