Anyone know of any good hotels in Chicago?

In short, no. Illinois passed the Smoke-Free Illinois Act, requiring at least 75% of rented hotel rooms to be smoke-free. As a result, almost all hotels have gone smoke-free. As far as I know, only the following hotels offer smoking rooms: Palmer House Hilton James Hotel Chicago Keep in mind, you will get the worst rooms in the house unless you opt for a suite. Palmer House does allow pets at USD75/pet (non-refundable). James Hotel offers pet services, but I don't know if there is a charge. Neither of these hotels could be considered budget hotels unless you're from Manhattan. You may be able to find good deals at Palmer House, but summer is generally their busy season.
