How safe is the Orange Line CTA to Midway and to the Loop?

• Hi, I am planning to take CTA blue line to ohare in June. I need to reach ohare at 530pm. In doing so we hope to save lot of $$. We are 2 people with 2 checkin and 2 carryons and one laptop total and would like advise on which station to take in chicago loop so that it will be easy to take the baggage to actual platoform. I know clark/lake and jackson/dearborn stops have elevetors or escalotors but no idea where the entrance to that is. I prefer jackson because it is near my apartment. Thank you

  Since its renovation Jackson does have elevators. It also has the advantage being at the south end of the Loop that you can fairly easily get a seat on an O'Hare-bound train. The other choice is Clark/Lake at the north end of the Loop. Clark/Lake is the biggest "mixmaster" in the system, though, and it can get crazy at rush hour. ... And taking luggage out to O'Hare is definitely NOT a problem. People (both locals and tourists) do it all the time. You'll probably nab a seat quickly, particularly if you walk to the far end of the platform and board there. If you don't, the train will start emptying out around Damen, and there will be lots of space by the time you get to Jefferson Park.
