Look for a sublet someone that is going to move to a house or relocate for a job. If they are relocating their company is probably going to buy out the remaining lease or pay the sublet fee. Often, they , the renter , can double dip , if they find someone to rent the apartment for the duration of the lease. I would offer half of the rent or two thirds and see if they accept. People decide to move before lease ends for many reasons, such as marriage/divorces, etc. therefore, they would rather get a person to sublet their place for less money than to have to pay for all of the lease by themself. You could try realtor.com or call a real estate agent in Chicago to see if they are aware of any sublets. Nothing wrong with asking Marina City Office either ... although I think you could negotiate better with someone who owns a place or who is renting who needs to sublet.
