What parts of Philadelphia should I avoid?

What are the bad parts that I should avoid in Chicago?

Stay out of the West Side, especially Englewood. The west side is the "bad part of town". It's pretty ghetto and run down and there are some pretty bad people. For the most part, Chicago is one of the greatest places you can live in. The North Side is the best place. Beautiful neighborhoods.

Oh yes please avoid the South Side..because you will get shot the instant you cross over! LOL (people crack me up when they say that)...no seriously, the South Side isn't all that bad in all parts, it's just that there is nothing to do here, and the West Side in some parts are worse(nothing to do there either)...While visiting stick to the downtown and North Side areas, there is tons more to do, and better colleges over there. Chicago is a great City to live in...Winter kinda sucks, but you get used to it. There is always stuff to do, access to public transportation is easy, and pretty safe...great beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping, museums and just all around everything. You never get bored...Enjoy your visit :) ChicagoGangs.org...is wrong, there are a couple places I have lived that are highlighted in there, and there are NO gangs in that area, either it's not updated, or an idiot made that up. Chicago Resident my entire life, lived in all parts of the city.
