How to travel from Chicago,IL to Bloomington,IL.?

I-55 to bus 55 (Veterans' Pkwy) continue to bus 51...that's Main St. Head north to downtown. You've just seen most of what's to be seen.

There are all those you mentioned. It is home to State Farm Insurance, and is a College Town of sorts. It is growing in the number of homes. I-55 South of there will get you to Springfield, and St Louis.

You can take the Amtrak to Bloomington from Chicago. Bloomington is a college town, not a city. It's just like a suburb but with a college next door. There is a not-so-good section of Bloomington, where you don't want to live. I don't remember if it's east or west Bloomington, but you can tell by the way the street looks.
