How old do you have to be to ride Amtrak by yourself?

Where can i get an id so that a 14 yr old can ride amtrak as a 15 yr old?

  • We need an ID saying a 14 yr old is actually 15 so that she can ride the train that gets in at 9:15. Under 15 can't ride past 9. Thanks for your help. She rides regularly.

Have you tried contacting the train folks directly and asking for an exception? I would think 15 mins. would qualify. Ph, but wait....is this a GOVERNMENT run agency? Good luck with that. An Obmamcare preview!
