What is the fare from amtrak station chicago to midway a/p?

I need to go from the University of Illinois-Chicago Pavilion to the Amtrak Station?

  • I need to make that trip next friday at 6PM and I am from out of town. What is the best way to get there that is cheap, safe, and quick. Any estimations on cab fare, or are there public transit ways possible?

    You can take the Blue line (Racine stop) to Clinton and walk north 2 blocks to Union station. You can also take the #7 Harrison or #60 Blue Island bus to Union Station. They both have stops heading to Union stop on the south side of Harrison St. It shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes.

The UIC Pavilion is on the Northeast corner of the intersection of Racine and Halsted. There is a CTA Bus #60 and #7 stop on the Southwest corner of that intersection (diagonal from the Pavilion). Both of those buses will take you directly to Union Station.

From UIC take the Blue Line to Clinton and walk 2ish blocks north/east to Union Station for $2. Or take a cab from UIC to Union Station for like $10 with tip. I take that bus all the time. Cross the street to the bus stop diagonal from the Pavilion. Take route #60 direct to Union Station. $2 fare.
