What does CHICAGO do during the 4th of July?!?!?

  • so i might possibly in chicago during the 4th of july!! and i was just wondering what festivities they do. and where the fireworks are and such!!!!! if you have any ideas of things to do on the 4th of july there too that would BE GREAT!!!!!!!!

    Well, the Taste of Chicago is going on during that time downtown in the Grant Park area. Also check out Navy Pier, and be sure to watch the big fireworks display over the lake!

Big fireworks on both July 3rd and July 4th - the ones on the 3rd over the lakefront by the museum campus are particularly impressive - and the Taste of Chicago is going on the lakefront at that time, too, if you don't mind a crush of people.
