Where can I get gift cards/vouchers in Chicago? Which store?

Hi, Iam new to this country. One of my colleagues is celebrating her 30th birthday this weekend. I just wanted to present her with a generic gift. Thought I would present her with a gift card or a gift voucher. In which store in Chicago would I get them? Theres a Jewel-Osco near by my apartment. Will I get gift vouchers there? Else, pls let me know where else I could get that? Thanks! :)

Gift cards are for specific stores or websites. There really isn't a generic gift card, unless you get a VISA gift card at a bank. Jewel-Osco has gift cards for specific stores or for iTunes. Walgreens has them also. Or, go to Target and get a gift card. Just about all department stores (Sears, JC Penney's, Macy's, etc.) will have gift cards for their stores.
