How do you get into the train industry?

Museum of science and industry and then dinner?

• We are planning to take the train from Michigan City to the museum of science and industry for the day with our 3 and 7 year old kids. I had wondered about getting into downtown for dinner somewhere like the Rainforest? We do need to get back on the train to michigan city too. Not finding an easy train/bus route. Please help.

  Which train station? The Rainforest Cafe is about 8 miles from the museum. You could take a CTA bus and el to it and later to the Randolph St Metra station in Millenium Park or a cab which might be better with little kids.
