What are the best beaches in Chicago?

Last week, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel closed chicago beaches because of "heat!" Want to know the real reason?

  • Isn't the reason most people go to the beach is because of the heat? and the temps weren't even in the 100s! How would Hawaii tourism or Florida tourism be if they closed beaches due to the 80-90 degree weather? Because gangs are now using Twitter, much like the rioters in Egypt, Syria, and other foreign nations, to amass gangs to attack people and other gangs. A mass attack and riot was planned at the beaches by the gangs. Chicago does not want this info spread around the country for fear that it will detract people from visiting our city. Aren't you glad to know the truth?

"spaced" Have you got any documentation WHAT-SO-EVER to back up the story you are spreading around? If you can not furnish documentation for what you are saying then you may be spreading misinformation and false information. Did you see the size of the crowd at North Avenue Beach on Memorial Day May 30th? The crowd was HUGE and the beach was so crowded it presented a safety issue. A worker at Castaways bar & grill on the beach she had NEVER seen a crowd there before as large as the Memorial Day crowd. The fact of the matter was the crowd was too large for the beach to safely accommodate and it became a public safety issue. Emergency medical personel who where called to the beach where unable to quickly reach the people who needed help. Once a situation evolves in to a public safety issue the authorities have no choice but to take appropriate action. Now, if you have information the authorities need to know I suggest you inform them of any legitimate knowledge you have concerning the "what really happened."

I would expect that the announcement was because the beaches are not yet officially open and there are no lifeguards. Typically lifeguards at the beaches and pools start on a specific date AFTER school is out for the summer.
