Should I go to college in Seattle or Chicago?

To go to The University of Chicago, which community college should I go?

  • I'm Japanese. And I had tried to find out transfer rate of community colleges near the University of Chicago because I was told that I should go to community college near The University of Chicago to transfer to The University of Chicago, but I couldn't find out transfer rate of community colleges. So please, I want you to tell me the community college with highest transfer rate to The University of Chicago. Thank you.

    You really should be raising your questions directly with University of Chicago! That is a very selective school, and it is doubtful that they would accept much of anything from any community college!

You can go to any CC and transfer over to Uof C. It is what classes you take and what GPA you have that is going to matter. In the area, Harper Jr. College in Palatine, IL (northwest of chicago) has an excellent reputation. You should check with University of Chicago to make sure any class you take will transfer to them, before you even sign up for the class.

The University of Chicago doesn't really accept people from community colleges. I think the advice you got was wrong. That works for less selective private schools, and for state schools but not for a school like U of C. Sometimes people get confused with the University of Chicago because the name makes it sound like a state/public school. It is not, its private so they don't have any relationship with community colleges at all. You can try contacting their admissions office though? The U of C should have those statistics.
