Where are the best places to ride bikes around Chicago?

Where to park in dwntwn Chicago for fireworks & while we ride bikes? Is there bike parking at Sears Tower?

We arrive in Oak Brook on the 4th, and want to drive to downtown for fireworks (no bikes). Where's the best/cheapest place to go/park/watch? We stay in OakBrook, but want to come back downtown on the 5th w/our bikes to ride the shore. Where should we park for that?? Also, if we ride to Sears Tower, do they have safe bike parking? Thanks so much for helping!

Chicago's big fireworks-in-honor-of-Independence-Day always takes place on the 3rd. However, there will be fireworks at Navy Pier on the 4th, if you choose to go downtown. Chicago is one of the nation's most bike-friendly major cities. The links below should prove useful.
