Does anyone know of any Japanese stores in Bloomington,IN?

Anyone know any Japanese stores near Chicago?

  • I'm looking for kawaii stuff. Like squishy buns or mameshiba beans. I'm also looking for a store that might sell Japanese snacks such as popin cookin. Please answer as soon as possible. :)

  • Answer:

Try Kawaii Japanese Outlet (1338 S. Halsted St., 312-970-0094) in University Village. It's open daily from 11am to 5pm or so (call for exact hours). Note the shop is closing at the end of December, so it's unloading its inventory. Mitsuwa Marketplace (100 E. Algonquin Rd., 847-956-6699, www.mitsuwa.com) in Arlington Heights is another insanely chockful option. It's open daily 9am-8pm. You will NOT leave this place hungry.

Try Chinatown in Chicago, has a large Asain market area, not far from downtown, can take I-55, or it's off Archer ave. Also, Can look in yellow pages for Japanese speciality stores.
