Will there be any fireworks the July 4th in Chicago?

I'm visiting Chicago on the 4th of July weekend. Where do they have fireworks in the city.?

  • Also I would like to stay in a nice hotel in the city facing the fireworks. Any ideas.

    July 3rd is the show get there early one year i was at the lakefront acroos from buckingham foutain... as for a room facing teh fireworks good luck many of those hotels sell out the year before

There's fireworks July 3rd at Grant Park at 9pm. Though people will be allowed in at 10:45am to reserve spots on the ground, and it fills up pretty fast.

navy Pier in chicago the best place for the fireworks show and they have carnival rides and tons of stuff to do down there... i am not sure what hotels are there u may have to search them but navy pier is the way to go for 4th of july

The big show is July 3rd. This will be during Taste of CHicago. Well over 1 million ( has hit 2 million in the past) people will be watching the show. Come early. Show can be seen clearly from Navy Pier or Shedd Aquarium or anywhere along the lake in between.The best would be to rent a boat and watch the show from the lake.

Ohhhh.... well they always take a boat out on lake michigan and shoot fireworks so I would look into that.... find a hotel near there
