How can I get a rush passport?

PassPort question. I applied for a passport, I paid extra for for a "rush" how long b-4 I get it?

    if you paid the expedite fee but used regular mail, the time frame is 18 calendar days. if you paid to have the application and passport sent overnite delivery each way, the time frame is 14 calendar days. you can check your status at the state department's website: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/status/status_2567.html good luck

Hopefully sooner than I did. I paid for it to be done promptly having been checked by the operator at the Post Office. I got a letter back a two weeks later saying that my photos hadn't been sent to Passport office from Post Office. Good Luck.
