What are my chances of getting into the University of Michigan?

What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan at Ann Arbor?

  • So, I go to a private, independant, Catholic school.. with a 3.6 GPA, a couple AP's, and an 1800 SAT. I've done community service, and have a pretty well rounded list of activities and extracurriculars.. I'm from out of state though.. I've already sent my APP in, so what do you think my chances of acceptance are??

  • Answer:

An 1800 SAT score and a 3.6 GPA average community service, activities which are extracurricular, may be reviewed as acceptable. A 3.8 is more desirable though. If I had been you, I would have sent, as well, letters of recommendation from your teachers who'd admired you genuinely for your work and deeds, and scholastic achievements. These would have helped the deciding panel consider you more round-about-ly as a candidate for The U of Michigan. University panels re very much impressed when words of recommendation from teachers you've studied under have supported your excellence. The U of Mich. is a very demanding school. But I have a feeling you'll be considered well, as an incoming student! Good Luck!!!

pretty good, but hard to tell. Depends on how you stand with other people who are applying also. You should apply to more than one college just in case. Good Luck!

You should ask this question in Detroit section of Travel, there are a lot of students on there from Ann Arbor.
