Where's the best place to meet women 18-24 in Boston?

  • I'm a smart, successful and attractive 24 year old guy living in Boston's North End. I have had an impossible time meeting any ladies my age in Boston - they don't seem to exist. I'm starting to think they are all in NYC or LA. Does anyone know any bars or areas I should hang out in? Or any ideas on how to meet ladies my age? Thanks in advance!

    I'm originally from Boston and moved out to the West Coast (LA & SF) and I actually have the same problem here... haha. Can't find a decent woman who's into me for the life of me... however, I don't seem to have an issue when I go back home! I went with some friends to Jillian's, got a few phone numbers from the pool table behind ours, then saw a DJ set at Avalon, got a couple more phone numbers, and went back to a cute Asian girl's place with her... 28 year old lawyer (I'm 24). The women in Boston are WAY more approachable, and have WAY less an air of superiority about them than LA or NY, at least as far as I've experienced. I'm not the most outgoing guy by a long shot, but it seems like in Boston as long as you're somewhat approachable, and you're mellow and cool (funny doesn't hurt either) then you'll do well. The thing I do know from having lots of native Bostonian female friends is that the sort of boasting and arrogance that you need to exhibit in LA to get talked to let alone date will get you shot down in a snap. Boston women don't screw around like that. I really should move back... haha.

Beyond the bars & clubs, there's always joining co-ed rec softball, dodgeball, etc. Or, night classes in dancing, cooking or whatever from Cambridge adult ed. Try getting out of the city & into Cambridge or Somerville at the restaurants or clubs there.
