    I agree with most of the info. that you have received from the others; keep in mind that BPS requires a Master's in Ed. Boston teachers are very highly paid, benefits are excellent and ranked third in the nation's best paid teachers. Even you're first year teaching you will have a decent salary. Don't go to Florida - where teachers are over worked, underpaid and Florida is ranked 48 state in the nation of worst places that don't pay teachers - nor do they pay firefightersor policemen - all the service personnel.
