Parking is ghastly in Boston and Cambridge. Park the car somewhere near a T stop and use public transportation. Kids travel for 1/2 price on the T. Depending on the T station, rates are between $2.00 and $5.00 for the day. Parking lots in the city <IF you can find a space> cost about $35/day. There is some metered parking, but the limit is 2 hours. Parking tickets are very high...$60.00. Not sure which direction you are coming from....if from the west, I recommend parking at the Riverside T stop, which is on the Green Line. Green line will take you to Faneuil Hall and the Science Museum. The New England Aquarium is near Faneuil Hall too. Harvard Square is on the Red Line. Switch from the Green Line to the Red Line at Park Street <Boston Common>
