  Ok here goes and I hope this helps you! I don't know how much you know about American culture so sorry if this is repetitive. School hours: from 7:30-8:00 in the morning to about 2:30 in the afternoon Monday through Friday Courses: English (books we read in high school are: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream, The Scarlet Letter, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Catcher in the Rye, or really any other classic piece of American literature that most high schoolers think they are too cool to appreciate, just look them up online) Events: American high school has four years in it, Freshman year when you are 14-15 years old, Sophomore year you are 15-16, Junior year 16-17, and finally Senior year 17-18. There is always a junior and senior prom, or a really formal dance where everyone rents limousines and buys tuxedos and gorgeous dresses. Senior year is very important because it is when we are the oldest and most favored in school, also it is the last year before we go off to college and we won't see all our friends all the time. Alcohol help: if someone has a serious drinking problem, they would go to a rehabilitation center where they would learn how to live without their addition, these places are also for people who have drug addictions. Fun in Boston: there are so many amazing restaurants all around Boston, look up The North End of Boston, and Fannual Hall in Boston. Also, there are various clubs for underage kids (our drinking age is 21) or many teenagers use fake IDs to get into clubs and drink (this is illegal) Thoughts on Italy and Europe: To us, its all very glamourous. For girls there is the fashion and everyone wants to see the major historic sights and lay on the beaches of southern Italy and France. A European vacation is very luxurious and people are usually jealous when someone says they've been there, especially when they say big cities like Rome, Venice, Paris, Barcelona (you get the picture) College: In your junior year of high school, that is when we all look for colleges. We all try our hardest to get good grades and pass the SAT which is a major test that most colleges look at to see if you are smart enough for their standards. We all have to write essays on various topics when we apply for college, and some people stay near home or they go all the way across the country. There are thousands of colleges around the country, that specialize in anything that you can think of making a career of. commonwealth Ave is a nice neighborhood with many buildings that we call brownstones because of their brick siding. I would look online for more specific info on the living conditions of boston though. Some movies involving teenagers: Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, 10 things I Hate About You I can't think of any others, but just know that these are exaggerated to make a good story, but both are pretty good, the second one is much, much better though.
