Is England better then America?
-
My friends want to live in England really bad, even though they have never been. They claim they hate America even though they have only been to maybe 10 states, they cant hate it if they have only been to 1/5 of it. They think America is all ghetto, ghetto wannabe, or white trash and some parts are but not all. Also they think England is 100% perfect, which its not. Can you help me and explain how England isn't perfect and America isn't that bad?

Answer:
Englands only one small island, in America, if your bored of where you live you can just move to another state. Theres such a vast amount of diversity in America, theres sunshine, sea, desert, plains, mountains, snow, grass, city's. Anything you can possibly want. You just have to find what suits you. If you dont like the heat/cold you an move somewhere else. But how do you know englands not 100% perfect, for them it might be. For me, i do love UK, but i hate the cold and winter and it can get pretty cold here, (it snowed today where i live D: ) but its beautiful in the spring and summer, no matter where you are your no farther than a few hours drive to the sea. Theres some nice cities and towns. Hyde park in Londons one of my favorite places in the world in summer time. it would be alot easyer for you and your friends to move here and live, than it would be for me to move to somewhere in the US (we let anyone and everyone in here) youd need to find a job, and whilst unemployment isnt as low here as it is in the states thats still pretty difficult. University's are harder to get into than your colleges, but the cost so much less. Make sure they realize how far away they'll be from their family's if they did live here, at the least its a 9 hour plain flight and that's if they live in new york or florida. The cost of plane flights is alot as well, i cant be exact but its at least £500 that's almost $800. I'd say, tell them to come here on holiday or something, and then they can see that they probably want to live in America more. I love America, iv been to Florida, California and New york. And in the summer me and my friends are hitting Arizona and Colorado and them places (: i can see their fascination to another country, when you get to bored of where you live, you can want something different.

i can think of a lot of places better than america. if you try to convince them how america doesnt suck it just reaffirms the stereotype that every american thinks they are better than the rest of the world. americans already have a terrible reputation with most other countries you dont have to help.

Well, America can be known as the country of immigrants, the fact they have no history whatsoever. Because it's a new country which have only been around for a few hundred years and it's like saying it's newborn in otherwords. In England (English myself) We have a Queen and the country thats has history, accents, etc. But for some reason, the Americans look at us if we're made out of gold, because of the british way of life. I've been to America myself for at least 3-4 times in my life and it's a brilliant country to visit. I've never heard any downfalls of anything if you know what i mean, 50% of the British do hate America as a country, maybe because of the independence also thinking that they're assholes. (Not trying to be racist.) England is only a small country compared to America, It's also the greenest country in the world. Let's face it though, we do get difficult people so life's not always fair and there's nothing more to it. NYC rules, all to say. ;)

America and England are both very different with things that appeal to different people. If your friends are the type of people who don't like what America has going for it and prefer the things England has, then that's that. It's like trying to talk someone who hates grape juice into drinking grape juice when they'd rather have orange juice. Different people, different tastes.

There isn't a place that perfect..its all about where you think you belong...where ur friends and ur family are..I know this because throughout my life I lived in a couple of countries... I always used to think hightly of America..and lowly of my own country..but when i moved to the US I realized that here everyone thinks very highly of my country of origin and lowly of the US...I think we all want to live in a place we can't...and we think that other countries will satisfy as more..but its is not true!!!
