Is there Any night life in Cambridge?

Is Cambridge Boston night life safe?

  • I'm thinking about taking dance lessons in Cambridge but I liev in East Boston, so I'm going by the T. the class ends at 8 or 9 depending on which day. I'm usually only in East Boston so i'm just wondering if it's dangerous there or anything. By the way, if it helps, the studio is on Norfolk st.

  • Answer:

You're an Eastie and you are asking about the safety of Cambridge at night? Sorry, I find that funny. 9 at night isn't particularly late, so I think you'll be absolutely fine. If you were in Cambridge later in the night when the drunks are out from the bars, then it might be bothersome. Even late at night, however, with some common sense and by taking practical precautions (not walking down dark alleys alone, etc.) you shouldn't come across any trouble.

Just be on your guard . You should be ok . Don't get distracted either like somebody asking for the time or a cigarette . That catches people off guard all the time . Besides you are not to far from central square . Maybe you can make some friends while you taking dance lessons . and walk with you to the t-stop There is safety in numbers

There are certain areas like Central Square and Harvard Square where you will see alot of weirdos, drunks, homeless and druggies. However, these areas are always busy and cops are always around, even undercover, so it is safe despite that. At night, I would just avoid any dark streets or allies just to be cautious.
