Is April a good time to visit Cape Cod? Too cold still?

My wife and I have been at the Cape many times in April. No, it is not too cold (at least not for us). Actually, April and May are very good times to visit the Cape because there aren't nearly as many tourists around - it's possible to find a place to park! You need to be aware that there are year-round residents on the Cape, and all of the things that exist to support the lifestyles of the year-round residents are available year-round. But there is a significant seasonal tourist element on the Cape, and many of the things that are focused more on tourists operate seasonally. April is the transition month. Many, if not most, of the things that operate seasonally are still closed in early April, but most are open by the end of the month. So picking the right week is important. For example, the whale-watching cruises out of Provincetown tend to start running in mid-April. We've also been at the Cape in January and February. It's colder then, and quieter, but usually not a lot of snow.

Well the water is cold and sometimes the air but if you wish tranquility it is nice because there are few tourists; nothing lovlier than walking an empty beach and staying at a cozy B&B with few opther guests.

It's a really nice time to visit other than sunbathing and swimming.

Naah, it shouldn't be too cold then. It'll be ideal spring weather probably.
