What are the trains in England called?

Trains in New England/MA?

  • I'm going to be a freshman this fall at Umass Amherst. I was just curious as to if there are any trains that run East to West across Massachusetts or, on a bigger scale, New England. I know there are trains that run north to south, but my boyfriend/family would be to the east of my school. Even a train to Boston/Framingham/Kingston etc from somewhere near Amherst would be better then bumming rides or paying $40 for a bus fare. If anyone can supply me with a map or a website, anything, that'd be great. I've tried searching for this before but came up empty handed. Even if its a bunch of stops in between, I don't mind.

  • Answer:

take train to springfield then bus to amherst

Kingston?? Kingston is the U of R.I., not UMass; you are confusing. Anyway, there is only one east-west train per day but it does not stop in Amherst, unfortunately. It goes Springfield/Boston.
