Toronto is now the world's most multicultural city (Not New York or L.A as most Americans arrogantly think). So you should consider that for its social experience, outside of sports. Also, Milton Academy is as noted in suburban Milton with some logistical effort needed to use the transportation system to get places but at Upper Canada you will be more in the middle of things.. Boston has a 21 year old drinking age, Toronto 19, so you can legally celebrate your graduation. The economy in Canada is much better AT PRESENT than in the USA (or Ireland) and although Canadians tend to opt for smaller cars and houses than Americans Canadian families are AT PRESENT wealthier (by a whopping 31%!!!), another fact you will never learn from an American politician. That all being noted we can get to sports. Toronto also has first tier professional baseball and basketball teams as well as hockey but ice hockey is numero uno. It has a professional Canadian rules football team (the Canadian game is more wide open and fun to watch than American rules), and there is talk about bringing in a NFL American rules team. It has a 2nd-tier professional soccer team (what is called football in most of the world). You can also find cricket. Boston schools play more squash. Boston's Patriots is its American rules professional football team, not its soccer team - they are called the Revolution and play for what would be considered a 3rd tier league in Europe. The local colleges and universities in both cities staff teams for most sports locally popular. By ironic coincidence the major sport for most Boston area teams i s also ice hockey. American rules football is much less popular than it is in most of the USA. Both Milton and Upper Canada field full ranges of sports teams but they would be different (Canadian rules football at UCC, for existence). But for Toronto can you take winter weather of -40C with 65 kilo winds? - Boston's winter weather is tropical by comparison (although most Bostonians will complain much about it).

What kind of sports do you like? Canada is big on hockey. Boston is big on baseball and football and basketball. But thinking school-wise I do know someone who goes to Milton and they love it.

There is a large Irish community in Boston and people there are sports fanatics. But in Toronto, school costs much less and there are people from all over the world. They have lots of sports too. They are two great cities.
