What's the best "weather" month to go to Boston?
-
I'm from Jersey, so I'm used to some cold weather, but I've heard that the weather in Boston is pretty unpredictable. I was planning on taking a trip there about March 16th, but I'm hearing the weather can be pretty lousy to be out walking around. I would like to know what seems like the best month for the weather in Boston. Thanks...

Answer:
I like May here - the trees are full, the flowers are blooming. Boston Common and the Public Garden looks great. Not too much rain and sunny days which sound awesome now that we're in another snowstorm!

The whole summer in Boston is great. Spring can still be cold. I prefer September though as my favorite month to see the sights or hang out with friends in Boston. However, even if its cold outside there are tons of pubs, restaurants and indoor attractions. Indoor activities also include Bruins and Celtics games at the Garden.

??? Jersey weather is no different than Boston weather except for a couple of more snow storms. When it starts getting warm enough to walk around in Jersey, come to Boston... since most activities and sights to see are outdoors.

I'd say either April or September. In both of those months its not too hot and not too cold, its just right. But a few weeks ago i went to boston for the day and it wasn't that cold. It was really cool though because frog pound was frozon so we could just go across the pond with just our shoes on

I don't think you can beat Fall in New England, so I'd say Sept or October as first choice. Summer can be hot, but not bad. Spring comes late, many trees still bare into May, but May and June would be good as well. It will be awful cold still in March.

April-May or September-October. Those are generally the mildest months. the weather is nice, not to hot, not to cold. the scenary is also amazing.

September, thats when the trees start turning.

You're right. Noreasters are still quite common into March. The weather is generally lousy. I'd recommend early fall, September and October for the best weather.

Hands down: from September 20 to October 20.
