What GPA do you need to get into University of Texas in Austin?

Can I get into the University of Texas-Austin?

  • Can I get into University of Texas at Austin with the following criteria? • Have a 3.4 GPA • Member of NHS and Student Council • play on the varsity soccer team • play on a club soccer team • participated in 25+ hours of community service • taken 4 years in Spanish • fluent in Spanish • in-state student • received 1300 on SAT • top 20% of graduating class in a school with good rep with majority of Texas schools • taken many AP courses I have really wanted to double major in Arabic and Chinese and minor in French, and found out UT is one of several schools who offer these languages in small-ER classes. And who wouldn’t want to go to a game in Texas Memorial Stadium and sing The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You?

  • Answer:

If you live in Texas and graduate in the top 10% of your class you automatically qualify for admission to any state school. Otherwise with your 1300 SAT, GPA, and NHS credentials I'd say you're a shoo-in. Plus, UT is awesome and so is Austin so I hope you get in.
