Where are some goog places to ride bikes in downtown Austin (TX)?

I'm wondering where some good places to ride in the city. Also, good restaurants, places to stop, see stuff, you know?

I agree with Texas Longhorn - and I thought I'd add something too. If you're willing to make the drive, there is a great great great trail over by 183/620 area. I live here, and this trail goes on forever. It is very safe, but it's not crowded like the trail around Town Lake. This trail follows Brushy Creek. They're constantly expanding it, too. I use it for running. I'd say 90% is a gravel/pebble trail like Town Lake trail is and the other 10% is concrete (used in low areas to keep the trail from washing away when the creek floods, I imagine). Austin is great for bike riders! Most major streets have a bike lane. As for sight-seeing... maybe around Town Lake. Or on Congress Ave, so you can see the Capitol and even have a glimpse at the School for the Deaf. And around UT of course! It's a huge campus, and if you're not a local, you'll have fun seeing the ancient buildings that make up the largest university campus in the United States. Hook 'em Horns!
