What are some unusual and interesting places to visit in the Texas Hill Ccountry ?

I am looking for places to take my girlfriend for day trips and entertainment. We live in Kerrville. I don't want to travel more than 120 miles(one way).

I'd go with the wineries. In early June, the ROT motorcycle rally is a great time to peoplewatch on 6th street for about a week. But very risque. Hippie Hollow - bare your soul (and anything else) Austin has a bat bridge on Guadelupe Street downtown by the Austin American Statesman Newspaprer building. Gajiilions of bats come out every night at twilight. - Don't watch from below!

Fredericksberg and Boerne have a lot of shops and places to eat..there are alot of Wineries along the way...If nothing else the drive is nice...

If you want to really get away and looking for true "country", I'd go to the Hill Country State Natural Area.
