Does anyone know any cheap apartments off of UNF's Campus?

I'm moving back to Texas!! Anyone know of good apartments close to ACC Eastview Campus?

  • I'll be moving back the end of this year and I'm planning on attending ACC Eastview campus but I can't find any apartments around that area online. Any Ideas? A couple of miles away is ok. (Perfer not to stay on east side of I35)

  • Answer:

Anything on the East side of 35 is going to be pretty ghetto. I lived there for 3 years at 3 different apt. communities and had my car vandalized numerous times. They are a lot of burglaries in the area and the apartments...well you will get what you pay for. Honestly, I would pay a little extra in rent and move to a nicer area in Austin. Southwest Austin and South Austin have good options and aren't too far away from East side campus. There are tons of choices so I would recommend getting with an apt. locator or doing your homework online. Try apartmentguide.com - I have found all my places via that website. Good luck and welcome back to Austin! :)

ok...first off..anything even close to Eastview or the East side is not going to be safe. There are soooo many apartments in Austin, that your best bet is to contact an Apartmet Locator(they are free) and have them narrow it down for you. Good Luck.

No....not a good area to live at all. There are lots of apartments filled with college students off of Riverside Dr. (Riverside/Crossing Place area & Riverside /Wickersham area). I can't personally recommend any of them, though. Sorry. (Never leased them). Don't give up....there are tons of apartments!

Unless your price range is in the high-end, you probably aren't going to be able to stay West of I-35 and still be within a couple miles of ACC Eastview. You might want to look at the East Riverside area (the quadrant with town lake to the north, I-35 to the west, Oltorf to the south and Pleasant Valley to the east) - there are a lot of students in that area and the bus that goes to Eastview goes around that area (not exactly sure where). There's lots of apartment complexes there, but it's mostly students and the crime is a little higher there (car break-ins and that sort of thing), and your experience will vary from complex to complex. Also there's some complexes off of Manor road (east of I-35) - near the UT campus.

Why would anyone in their right mind move back to Texas?

east of I35 in the north isnt as bad. west or south west austin is good or the north for some reason people like north. i think south better less traffic. but any how yeah downtown and around 43 street and like 45th and that area allot of students though those are going to UT. so mabye oltorf west of I35 still some run down crappy areas but it okay. if u like the city. then look around
