What are some fun things to do in Atlanta for a 10 year old girl?

  • We are planning a vacation to Atlanta in August and are looking for some fun things to do. Especially out of the ordinary things. We are thinking about camping at Stone Mountain.

World of Coke, Aquarium, Center for Puppetry Arts, Six Flags (it's a pretty good park, esp if you like rollercoasters, and only about a 20 min drive from downtown), Piedmont Park is a nice place to walk around (and free). I would definitely go to Stone Mountain - there's a lot to do there, but personally I would not camp out in August. Keep in mind the temp will be at least in the 90s during the day, and doesn't usually go below 80 at night.
