Where are some good places to move near Georgia?

What area is better? Places in Georgia...?

  • My family and I are having to move to another part of Georgia because of a job change. We will either have to move up around Augusta or up around Toccoa (Stephens County). I'm worried about the move. I can't find enough information about these places such as schools, crime, and if these areas are too city or country. I would love to live somewhere where houses are spread out and you can walk down the street without having to worry about too much traffic. If anyone knows anything about any of these areas, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

    Augusta traffic is horrible. I lived in and worked in Augusta for several years. However the suburban and rural areas near Augusta are nice. Just avoid going into the city unless you have to.

Neither Augusta nor Stephens County have traffic problems. Both of these are rural parts of Georgia, with Augusta being more urbanized than Stephens County. Traffic shouldn't be an issue. I don't know anything about the school districts and I've never heard of any criminal activity in Stephens County or Augusta. That's Atlanta what you're talking about. Trust me, my friend, both of these are safe places to live.

Toccoa, is very "country" and small town. I doubt you'd have to worry about too much traffic or crime. I personally like Augusta better.
