Going To Atlanta For Easter Break For V-Ball Tournament, Im Not Playing, So What Are Some Fun Things To Do?

  • Ok, so we r gonna be at Atlanta for 3-5 days around Easter Break, I have nothing to do, and my bff's sisters team isnt playing there so I'll be bored, so what r some fun things to do at Atlanta? BQ: What is the place in Atlanta that has 80 volleyball/basketball courts?

If you can see one thing while you're here, definitely go to the World of Coke. I've taken all my friends and family here when they visited, and everyone always loves it. Other ideas depend on what you're interested in, but my three favorite things in the city are: - *Zoo Atlanta* (be sure to see the baby panda!) - *Georgia Aquarium* (It's the largest aquarium in the world, and one of the only places you can see Whale Sharks up close.) - *The World of Coca Cola* (really fun museum-type thing. They have a room where you can try over 60 different Coke products from all over the world!) Some other really cool attractions: - Atlanta Botanical Gardens: several year-round gardens and art exhibits - Stone Mountain: Theme park that has become a favorite family vacation destination. Has a laser light show, championship golf, and "historic" village (you'll need a car for this one, as it's technically outside of the city) - Margaret Mitchell House and Gone With the WInd Museum: The home of the Gone With the Wind author and a museum dedicated to the movie - CNN Studio Tour: (it's pretty close to the aquarium, so you can both in the same day) - The Fernbank Museum: Cool science museum with an Imax theatre and lots of dinosaur bones! - The Center for Puppetry Arts: Puppet shows and a museum with tons of stuff, including Muppets and Sesame Street puppets If you're looking to see views of the city, there's a few places that I would definitely recommend eating. They would be Park Tavern (when the weather is nice, you can sit outside on the patio overlooking Piedmont Park and see a beautiful view of downtown) and The Sundial located on the top of the Westin Peachtree. The Sundial is a ROTATING restaurant with the absolute best views of the entire city. It's a little pricey to eat there, but for only $5 (3 for kids under 12) you can just go up for the view without having to order any food. It's a really cool experience that's for sure worth the money. I've put the websites for all of these places so that you can take a look at them and decide what you want to do. Also, you can get directions to these places!

It kinda matters where your staying if your kind of in the middle of everything you can do the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Zoo, or the world of coke which i have been to and highly recommend. A little ways out there is also a Kangaroo farm which I haven't been to but have heard good things about but it is a little pricey.
