Where's a good place to live in Philly?

Wheres a good place for me to live in Atlanta?

  • After college i would like to move to Atlanta or surrounding parts of it. Wheres a good place to live with a 50,000 salary income a year? Also im a single african american women with a small dog. Also i would like to be in a neighborhood where im not the only black person on the street but also not living in the hood.

  • Answer:

Don't want to recommend the suburbs to anyone young and single but the Norcorss area itself isn't all that bad. Stay outside the perimeter in Duluth, Johns Creek, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs are also very nice, safe neighborhoods. From where your job is located I would concentrate on the areas west and north of Norcross. Do not go south along Buford Highway or Peachtree Industrial into Doraville or Chamblee.

I would recommend living somewhere near downtown Decatur. About 10 miles from downtown Atlanta. You should be cautious though to ensure you are very close if not in downtown Decatur because parts are the "hood." I think you would fit in great in Decatur because it's a very diverse and VERY dog-friendly city. Great dog parks as well.

I suggest Candler Park, Little Five Points and Decatur. They are all near each other. They are all very different. It depends on if you want to be in a "happening" place (little 5 points) or a quieter place (Candler Park).
