Fun things to do in Atlanta, GA?

  • I'll be in Atlanta during the second week of June. I'll be staying with my friend, but he'll be at work during the day so I'd like some fun things to do to pass the time until he gets home. I've looked up some things online like the Coca Cola tour and whatnot, but was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for things that aren't so touristy. Maybe something outdoors or anything that would be fun to do alone. Also, anyone know of any fun restaurants? I'd like to take him out to a fun place for dinner. Thanks!

    Whole World Improv is fun. If you are with a group of girls, check their website for ladies' night to get in free. I love Fuego on Crescent avenue, it is fun for Tapas before going out next door. If you are looking for the touristy things, check out CityPass or the Braves MVP package that includes the aquarium and a game. Have fun!
