How do I get a job with CSX in Florida?

How do I best get out of Florida and find a job in Atlanta Georgia?( Already tried with several Job sites)?

  • My daughter (4) and I want to leave, but it's kind of hard because in order to get a job in Georgia you have to show residency and vice versa. I have a fulltime job here in Florida but it seems to be impossible even with three languages to land a job in Atlanta. What would you do?

    I feel your pain. It seems like they prefer clients to be resident or at least have moved to Atlanta I thgink they believe you're serious when you've actually moved and have a local address. apart from that, i think recruitment is pretty slow here in atlanta. I came from out of the country and it took quite a few weeks. The best site for me was careerbuilder. Job postings seemed to be current and in plenty supply. Perhaps you should indicate some sort of reason you want to move to Atlanta or something. As for my friend, she moved to Atlanta from Maryland and got a job after a few weeks.

I would also say go to ajcjobs.com. People don't care where you live now, only that you are qualified for the job. Atlanta is 75% people who move from somewhere else. give it a try, if you are best qualified, you should get the job. Good Luck, and good hunting.

I moved to Atlanta from Vermont and found a paralegal job within 2 weeks. I'm guessing whatever job you are applying for you must have to already be a resident for. I would suggest calling a headhunter to help locate a job for you. It might work a little better than online job sites.

It may just be Atlanta that's hard to land a job in because it is such a high demand place to live. You may want to look for a job outside of Atlanta and see what you can find there. Is there a particular reason you are looking at Atlanta??
