Are there still a lot of jobs in Atlanta?

What's so good about Atlanta, GA?

  • My mom wants to move to Atlanta from Tennessee. I just wanna know what's so good about it. I'm from Knoxville and I absolutely love it here... Help? Like is it easy to find jobs there? Good neighborhoods? Shops? Food? Anything? Okay here's one major problem about moving... I'm 18 years old and have a job that someone would have to go to college to get, but i didn't have to. I work at the same place as my mom, she had connections... BUT anyways, I make a lot of money and I'm able to buy whatever I want when I want. She wants me to move to Atlanta and not work for a couple of months until we get settled...aka... take my brothers to school etc. Is Atlanta worth the risk? or should I stay here? Thank you.

well they are all WRONG cuz I'm born and raised and hunni let me tell you I been to tennessee and YES you need to come to atlanta. You should like transfer to GA state cuz its right in the middle of the city. Atlanta isnt just a bigger city than knoxville its waaay more than that. Lots of shopping, my favorite key places is Atlantic Station b/c they have great shops like H&M, DIllards, Victoria's Secret, etc and Lenox mall of course and Perimeter mall. But if your taste is a little less Boojie than they have lots to accomodate. And you said your 18 right girrrlll the night life is SICK! so many clubs (for you, not old enough for the parties with the real celebs) But they have at least 5 different 18 and up clubs Friday-Sunday. Also sports yeah, and the zoo and the aquarium, coca cola, underground, centinnial olympic park in the summer mostly, cnn center, and too many good restaurants across the entire area. I know it aint nothing in Tenn. I've been so make ur way to tha A!! The parties are definitely the sickest tho all the major celebs fall thru like last week drake and Fab were at the velvet room and this week Mike Vick is gonna be there. Jay Z concert is in town this weekend so the parties are gonna b on stupid!

It's all opinions and what you like. Atlanta has many different sports teams and the world's largest airport. Other than that I don't really think there's anything spectacular. Just a bigger city the Knoxville.

What's the point of moving if you already have a good job? There's no big deal about living in Atlanta. Update..."Atlanta parties are the sickest"? Have you been to Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Los Angeles or even Chicago? I doubt it. If you decide to come here make sure you have a job lined up. If you already have a good job you should stick with it. There's not that many jobs in Atlanta right now. What's the point of moving to a city with "the sickest parties" and you can't afford to live that type of life style

You're 18, and if you have a good job in Knoxville stay there if you can afford to live on your own. Atlanta has alot to offer in the way of entertainment, restaurants/clubs/bars, sports stuff, concerts, etc., but right now it is hard to find a job if you don't have one lined up before you move here.
